Fat Dissolving
BELKYRA™ is an injectable treatment designed to reduce submental fat (under the chin) and redefine the jawline, effectively eliminating the double chin without the need for surgery. This FDA-approved treatment contains a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a substance naturally found in the body that helps dissolve excess fat under the chin.
During the procedure, deoxycholic acid is injected to target fat cells, breaking them down so they can be gradually eliminated by the liver and lymphatic system. BELKYRA™ is ideal for patients whose double chin is primarily due to excess fat and who have mild to moderate amounts of excess skin.
- The treatment takes approximately 40 minutes per area.
